Northern California rock band Papa Roach will take time out from its European tour to play concerts for troops and their families at Aviano Air Base in Italy and Wiesbaden Army Airfield in Germany.

Aviano’s concert is set for 7 p.m. July 25 at the Personnel Alert Holding Area on the flight line. Wiesbaden’s is scheduled for 7 p.m. July 27 at Hangar 1034. Both are free for Department of Defense ID card holders.

Dear Superstar, self-described “gutter rock ’n’ rollers” from Manchester, England, will also perform.

Papa Roach’s music has been called metal, rock, funk, alternative rock and pop since its formation in 1993 for a high school talent show. Its albums include “Infest,” “LoveHateTragedy,” “Getting Away with Murder,” “The Paramour Sessions” and “Metamorphosis.” The group is planning to release “Time for Annihilation” on Aug. 31.

The band is scheduled to perform in 21 concerts or festivals between mid-July and Aug. 15 in 11 European countries. More information on the European tour is available at
