The USS Wayne E. Meyer, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, participated in a training exercise with the South Korean and French navies off the southern coast of South Korea on Saturday. The destroyer took part in tactical maneuvering drills, non-maneuvering voice drills, and signal communication training with the fellow ships. “It was a great pleasure to participate in this exercise with our allies and practice our communications to increase interoperability,” said Cmdr. Randy J. Van Rossum, Wayne E. Meyer’s commander. The Wayne E. Meyer is in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility providing security in the Pacific region.
