Retirees can take advantage of services offered at U.S. Army Europe’s 23rd annual Retiree Open House. The event is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 20, at Patrick Henry Village Pavilion in Heidelberg, Germany.

Health screenings such as blood pressure, glaucoma testing and hearing checks will be offered. There will also be information on diabetes, prostate cancer, breast cancer and other health topics. Visitors to the open house can experience paraffin heat therapy, which can alleviate pain associated with arthritis and stiff joints.

ID cards will also be available for issue to those eligible. An old ID card or other documentation such as a passport or birth certificate are necessary to receive a card.

With an ID card, retirees can receive general dentistry and dental hygiene services at the Patrick Henry Village Dental Clinic. Retirees from outside the Heidelberg military community must bring their dental records in order to receive treatment.

Representatives from Retired and Annuity Pay and the National Personnel Medical Records will also be present at the open house to provide information, update records and answer questions.
