Okinawa-based Marine killed in Iraq
CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — An Okinawa-based III Marine Expeditionary Force Marine was killed in Iraq on Saturday, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.
Lance Cpl. Juana NavarroArellano, 24, of Ceres, Calif., died from wounds received while supporting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. She was a bulk fuel specialist assigned to 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III MEF.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Marine officials on Okinawa said no memorial service plans had been finalized.
