RAF LAKENHEATH, England – Base officials are warning people who filled up with gas at the shoppette on RAF Lakenheath between Thursday night and Friday morning about a shipment of contaminated fuel.

Motorists who filled up between 7:50 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday and believe they got contaminated fuel should not drive their car, a release stated. The vehicle should be towed to a mechanic, and the owner should rent a car, if needed. Base officials said drivers who believe they filled up with contaminated fuel can file a claim through the legal office to be reimbursed for any expenses associated with the gas problem.

Gas at RAFs Mildenhall and Feltwell were not affected, the release stated.
