Government officials have extended to March 31 the period for written comments regarding the environmental impact of proposed changes at Mariana Islands Range Complex.

The military wants to allow more large-scale military exercises on land, air and sea in the range, which covers more than half a million square miles in the Pacific. Already, the military has held public hearings on Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
