AwardsRAF MENWITH HILL — Menwith Hill High School seniors Michael Bartholomew and Danielle Shipman recently were named as Commended Students among teens from across America competing in the 2006 National Merit Scholarship Program.

The distinction recognizes students’ placement among the top 34,000 of the approximately 1.3 million entrants in the annual academic competition.

Four students from Menwith Hill also were recognized recently for achievements in college-level Advanced Placement exams. Alumni Knisha Freeman and Alian Rodriguez were named AP Scholars, and Ryan Gimmy was named an AP Scholar with Honor. Current senior Bartholomew earned an AP Scholar with Distinction award.
