The Department of Defense Per Diem Committee has opened a new survey to gauge overseas servicemembers’ costs for utilities and move-in expenses.

Officials from the 48th Comptroller Squadron at RAF Lakenheath have urged active-duty members residing in rental properties off base in the United Kingdom to fill out the survey, which will help recalibrate utilities and move-in allowances allotted to airmen. The survey asks for servicemembers’ average monthly costs for expenses such as heating fuel, gas, electricity and water, and costs incurred during a move.
