The 18th Military Police Brigade in Mannheim, Germany, received new leaders last week in a change-of-command/change-of-responsibility ceremony.

Col. Mark S. Spindler transferred command to Col. Thomas P. Evans, while Command Sgt. Maj. Bernard C. McPherson passed responsibility to Command Sgt. Maj. Brenda K. Curfman.

Spindler, who served with the 18th MP Brigade three times in his career, is headed to the Senior Leaders Division of the Human Resources Command in Alexandria, Va.

Evans’ last assignment was as chief of the Antiterrorism Division for U.S. Army Europe/7th Army.

McPherson has been assigned to the Program Executive Office Soldier in Natick, Mass., while Curfman comes to the brigade after serving as the top enlisted leader of the 95th Military Police Battalion, based in Mannheim.
