BAMBERG, Germany — Hip-hop artist Missy Elliott will be playing Jako Arena in Bamberg on Oct. 1.

Elliott is only playing one other show in Germany — in Berlin — on her tour. Her concert will be the inaugural event for Jako Arena.

Lee Mallory and Bobby McNaire, veterans of Desert Storm who are now with Hekkler’s World Entertainment, are “trying to bring over artists that soldiers and dependents want to see but don’t get a chance to see,” Mallory said.

“This is not such a good time for soldiers; we want to boost morale and do something good,” Mallory said, adding that he hopes that the Elliott audience is at least 40 percent American.

McNaire and Mallory have been in business together for 10 years. For the Elliott show, they’ve tapped USO locations to sell tickets.

In an effort to “show soldiers some love,” they’ve also donated tickets to AFN and select AAFES locations to give away as they see fit.

For more information about the Elliott show, contact Mallory or McNaire at info@hekklers.de.

Hekkler’s World also is promoting a rap concert featuring DMX in November.
