YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan — Two Yokota teenagers missing since Aug. 26 were found Saturday evening at Japan Railways’ Tachikawa Station about five miles east of the base, U.S. military officials said.

Ray Hagston, 17, and Michele Bakel, 14, were unharmed and in good condition, according to Capt. David Westover, a 374th Airlift Wing spokesman. It’s unknown who spotted them or where the two spent the previous week.

The two teens are dating and were believed to be together because they went missing at the same time. Yokota officials have said they did not suspect foul play in the disappearance, reported Aug. 29.
