MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan — There’s something in store for all ages at Misawa this Halloween, with festivities starting on Saturday.
The Halloween Ball in the Misawa Collocated Club’s Tohoku Ballroom kicks off at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to all ranks, but attendees must be club members 18 and older. The alternative rock band Plunge will be featured. Call DSN 222-9512 for more information.

A fall festival and costume contest at the Lunney Youth Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. Wear the best costume and win a $20 gift certificate. On Monday, carve pumpkins at the youth center after school at 4:15 p.m. Call DSN 226-3220 for more information.

The Haunted Woods on Monday and Tuesday, which promises spooky fun for all ages: Children’s festivities are from 4 to 6 p.m., and it’s adults only from 6 to 9 p.m. The woods are near Building 1335 and the Boy Scouts building. Call DSN 226-9272 for more information.
Misawa city’s Halloween festival, which will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on White Pole Road outside the main gate. Children may trick-or-treat between those hours and participate in a costume contest and parade.
