KABUL – A U.S. helicopter has crashed in eastern Afghanistan, coalition military officials said.

Coalition officials said no one was killed or seriously injured in the crash, though the Taliban claims they shot down the chopper in Kapisa province and that everyone onboard was killed. The Taliban often make exaggerated claims about their attacks.

Maj. Adam Wojack, a spokesman for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, said the helicopter was a two-seater, though he would not specify the model.

Investigators still are working to determine the cause of the crash, Wojack said.
