Mannheim service set for soldier who died in Iraq
November 18, 2004
A memorial service for Pfc. Cole William Larsen, who died in Iraq, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Benjamin Franklin Village in Mannheim, Germany.
Larsen, who was assigned to the 272nd Military Police Company — part of the Mannheim-based 96th MP Battalion — was killed Saturday in a traffic accident, according to an Army spokesman.
A native of Santa Clara, Calif., the 19-year-old military policeman was traveling in a convoy in East Baghdad when his armored vehicle was clipped by an Iraqi truck and rolled over several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
