SEOUL — It’s turkey time across the Korean peninsula, and local bases are prepping the stoves, sports fields and bowling alleys.
Thanksgiving meals will be served at dozens of dining facilities on U.S. bases, and guests are invited to most. The dinners are free for those who dine there daily, but guests must pay a fee. Contact your dining facility for details on prices and times.
The following events are planned:
Chinhae Naval BaseThe Turtle Cove restaurant will serve a free meal from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thanksgiving Day to all single and unaccompanied sailors, but reservations are mandatory. Call DSN 762-5350 to reserve and for guest price information.
Kunsan Air BaseA free BET Comedy Show will be held at the Loring Club at 8 p.m. Call DSN 782-7288/7855/2998.

Yongsan GarrisonThe Navy Club is offering a free dinner to all U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps personnel and their family members from noon to 2 p.m. Reservations are mandatory; call DSN 725-7731 or e-mail yimsy@cnfk.navy.mil. Single and unaccompanied personnel may bring one guest per person.
Camp CaseyThanksgiving lunch will be at the Pear Blossom Cottage from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Call DSN 730-3837.
Camp Red CloudThe “Lock-in” party will be 11 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday at Mitchell’s Club, sponsored by CRC Better Opportunities for Single and Unaccompanied Soldiers.
