A memorial service will be held Saturday for a Darmstadt, Germany, employee who died July 7 after a long battle with cancer.

Claudia Weissberger Robinson worked more than 20 years for the U.S. Army, beginning in the Frankfurt military community and later for the Directorate of Public Works in the 233rd Base Support Battalion. She was 51.

Robinson also served as a member of the Local National Works Council in Frankfurt and Darmstadt. In 1996, she was selected the U.S. Army Europe Contractor Officer Representative of the Year.

Robinson, who was born in Süssen, Germany, is survived by Don, her husband of 31 years, daughter Diana, grandson Adrian and sister Alexandra Bosch.

The service will be at the chapel on the Cambrai-Fritsch Casern in Darmstadt at 2 p.m.

The family has established the Claudia Robinson Memorial Fund to benefit cancer organizations. Donations can be made at the Community Bank.
