RAF LAKENHEATH — The Lakenheath Elementary School is currently looking for adult volunteers to enlighten the minds of third-grade students as part of its mentor program.

Mentors work one-on-one with students, building a close relationship by sharing lunchtime, an academic review and social time, such as playing board games, with each other.

Volunteers will be asked to donate one hour a week from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Monday beginning Nov. 5, according to a school news release.

The school looks to hold a 45-minute introduction for volunteers interested in mentoring inside its conference room at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 29, the release said.
