Liberty Intermediate School teacher Michael Brandon passed away at his home Tuesday after battling a long illness, a DODDS news release said.
Brandon, 54, worked for DODDS for 29 years. A memorial service to honor Brandon was held Friday afternoon at the RAF Lakenheath Chapel and support has been provided to students at the intermediate school.
Brandon’s family has asked that a memorial scholarship be established in his memory, the release indicated. Information about the scholarship will be released on a future date.
Brandon is survived by his wife, Myrna, the nurse at Lakenheath Middle School; two sons, Paul and James; and his daughter, Leah. Paul is serving in Iraq, and James is a college student in the States. Leah is a senior at Lakenheath High School.
