CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — This year’s annual Kids Health Fest will be held April 21 at the Camp Foster Community Center, Building 5908.

Scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, the event is sponsored by the U.S. Naval Hospital’s Health Promotion Department and Marine Corps Community Services. It features information booths sponsored by 30 different USNH departments and a tour of the hospital’s emergency ambulance.

MCCS also will be there, featuring information booths hosted by its Semper Fit, aquatics and youth and teen sports programs.

Entertainment includes music by the Amelia Earhart Sanshin Players and Eisa Dancers, the Lester Middle School Band, and the Kadena Teen Center’s Hasty Moves hip-hop dance team. There also will be yoga demonstrations, an obstacle course and chances for kids to win prizes.

“This event serves the purpose of increasing awareness related to health issues and promoting healthy lifestyles for children and their families in an interactive and festive environment,” said Brian J. Davis, spokesman for the hospital.
