KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — The 21st Theater Support Command’s Kaiserslautern Law Center on Monday received an Army chief of staff award for excellence in legal assistance during 2005.

The law center is the only office in U.S. Army Europe — and only one of two Army law centers overseas — to receive the award for 2005.

The Kaiserslautern center received the award for superior achievement in helping soldiers and their families with their legal needs.

“Without legal assistance taking care of soldiers’ and families’ needs, those soldiers cannot go forward with the mission of the command,” said Capt. Jocelyn Stewart, chief of legal assistance during the time the award was earned.
