LANDSTUHL, Germany — If you’re having problems getting a doctor’s appointment or just in need of a health screening, the third annual Women’s Health Fair is just what the doctor ordered.

Health experts from Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and Kaiserslautern military community clinics will be on hand Friday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Kaiserslautern-area installations, offering free blood pressure screenings and a variety of health information.

From yoga to pharmaceuticals, information at the fair covers the health spectrum. Visitors to any of the three health fair events will be able to make appointments for additional care. Army and Air Force health experts, who will be volunteering their time, will be available for consultation.

The aim of the fair is health promotion and prevention, said Connie Hiatt, nurse educator at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

“We started this a couple years ago to increase access to care,” she said. “It can be difficult for dependents, DODDS (Department of Defense Dependents Schools) teachers and retirees to get appointments.”

The event is open to all active-duty, family members, retirees, Department of Defense employees and contracting personnel. Free door prizes will be awarded, as well. For more information, call 06371- 86-5018 or DSN: 486-5018.
