KADENA AIR BASE, Okinawa — First sergeants posted at Kadena Air Base’s gates took down about 250 names of servicemembers, most of them on duty, as they were leaving or entering base between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. this past weekend, Air Force officials said Monday.

Squadron commanders will determine the punishment for anyone caught violating the base’s new curfew for servicemembers and SOFA-status civilians who live or work at Kadena, an Air Force spokeswoman said.

The punishments can range from administrative action to court-martial, she said.

Numbers of how many people may have broken the curfew were unavailable, the spokeswoman said.
