HAGATNA, Guam — A U.S. sailor accused of sexually assaulting a 47-year-old woman in May will go to trial next month, according to proceedings in Guam Superior Court on Monday.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Doyle Lamont Perry, assigned to the USS Frank Cable, was indicted June 7 on three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of second-degree criminal conduct, three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, assault with intent to commit criminal conduct, aggravated assault and terrorizing.
Perry has pleaded not guilty to all counts and has requested a trial. Jury selection is set to begin on July 26.
