Marine Corps Air Station Futenma

Thirsty’s E Club has free hamburgers and hot dogs from 7 to 9 p.m. July 4. From 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., listen to DJ Popz spin your favorite old-school jams. For more information, call DSN 645-5824.

Camp Lester

Kadena Air Base

AmericaFest festival will run from noon to 9 p.m. July 4-5. Gates open at 11 a.m. The first day is for the U.S. military and the second day is for the public. The event features aircraft static displays, live bands, fireworks and vendors. Admission is free. For more information, call DSN 634-1387.

Okuma Recreation Facility

Free festival July 3-6 features nightly fireworks, live entertainment, family games and go-karts. For more information, call DSN 631-2300.

White Beach

Celebrate a "Country & Western 4th of July" July 4-5 starting at 11 a.m. each day. Nashville singer Floyd VanLaningham will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. both days. Free kiddie land and free buffet. For more information, call DSN 622-1880 or 634-6926.


Andersen Air Force Base

"Freedom Fest" will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. July 3 at Arc Light Park. Festivities will include free hamburgers and hot dogs, live entertainment, horseback rides, a water slide, a bouncy castle and more. There will also be prizes including drawings for round-trip airfare for two to Hong Kong and to Cairns, Australia. For more information, call DSN 366-6157.

Guam Naval Base

"Freedom Rocks" will start at 3 p.m. July 4 at Polaris Point. Admission is free; games and food may be purchased. The party is open to the public, but photo ID is required. Brian Howe, former lead singer of Bad Company, will perform at 7 p.m. Fireworks begin about 8 p.m. Personal fireworks, video cameras, barbecue grills and pets are not allowed.
