The bodies of two off-duty Iraqi police officers have been discovered in Tikrit, officials say.

The men were reportedly traveling in a private vehicle when they were fired upon from another vehicle on Sunday, according to a news release issued Monday by Multi-National Corps–Iraq.

A third Iraqi was injured in the attack.
