YONGSAN GARRISON, South Korea — Brig. Gen. Harvey T. Landwermeyer took over this week as commander for the Installation Management Agency Korea Region Office.

Landwermeyer replaces Brig. Gen. John A. Macdonald, who held the office for a little more than two years. Macdonald was the first director for the Korea Region, a job that includes oversight of the 81 Army installations throughout the country.

Landwermeyer previously was chief of the combat arms division for the U.S. Army Human Resources Command in Alexandria, Va.
