MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan — Misawa’s health care providers will be evaluated May 8-12 by a national accreditation group — and Misawa residents have been invited to talk with the evaluators.

As part of an accreditation process for Misawa’s medical command, the 35th Medical Group, residents will be able to meet with field representatives from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Commission representatives will evaluate the Misawa medical command’s compliance with national standards to determine whether the group will be accredited.

Anyone wishing to talk with the field-representative evaluators may schedule an interview.

The interview request must be made in writing to the Joint Commission no later than five working days before the survey begins.

The request also must show the nature of the information to be provided.
