Guam’s Kilo Wharf to reopen following renovations
NAVAL BASE, Guam — Naval Facilities Engineering Command Marianas at Naval Base Guam will celebrate the reopening of Kilo Wharf on Monday following extensive renovations to enhance the wharf’s capabilities.
The $10.5 million project replaced the wharf’s fire suppression, potable water, electricity and lightning protection systems, repaved and widened Orote Point Road and installed a new concrete ordnance-handling pad.
Kilo Wharf is part of the Apra Harbor Naval Complex, Guam.
The $10,513,640 project was awarded to Black Construction Co. in March 2005.
