CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — A Guam sailor died in a motorcycle crash on the island Monday, according to the Joint Region Marianas public affairs office.

The incident happened on Route 2 outside Agat and is being investigated by the Guam police department, the Navy said. Guam media reported Tuesday that another driver had been arrested for drunken driving after colliding with the sailor and pinning her beneath his vehicle.

The sailor was attached to the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station. Her identity was withheld until her next-of-kin were notified of the death.

It was the second death of a servicemember stationed at the facility in recent months. In May, Petty Officer 3rd Class Ryan Bennett died while snorkeling at Haputo Beach.
