The largest Elvis event in Germany is under way in Bad Nauheim, with the final days featuring concerts, actors and an American disc jockey known for his tribute to the King.

Die-hard fans at the fourth European Elvis Festival will be treated to “Elvis The Show” and “Elvis The Show meets Gospel” at the Trinkkuranlagen (spa area).

The fun started Thursday night, and runs through the weekend.

On Saturday, American DJ Steven Christopher will honor the King at the Beach Club on Kaiserstrasse with his “Elvis on the Air” radio show from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

At 2 p.m. on Saturday, the rock ’n’ roll band Buddy and the Sharks will perform live on stage at the beach club. The band’s performance will be followed by a parade of Cadillacs, Corvettes and Harley Davidson bikes.

On Saturday night, a concert featuring the band TCB and choir The Sweet Inspiration will start at 9 p.m. at the Jugendstil-Theater in the Hotel Dolce in Bad Nauheim. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets cost between 35 and 45 euros.

The final day will conclude with the performance of Europe’s leading Elvis impersonator, Rio, who is known as the voice of Elvis, according to the Bad Nauheim city’s Web site.

The show — at the Hotel Dolce — begins at 5 p.m., with doors opening at 4 p.m. Tickets cost between 35 and 45 euros.
