An Army general assigned to U.S. Central Command has been nominated to head the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Va., the Pentagon announced Thursday.

Maj. Gen. Byron S. Bagby is currently serving as chief of the Office of Military Cooperation in Egypt, which falls under CENTCOM. There was no date set for him to assume his new role as commandant, Joint Forces Staff College at the National Defense University.

Maj. Gen. Virgil L. Packett II, deputy commanding general of the XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, N.C., has been nominated to become commanding general of the Army Aviation Center and Fort Rucker, Ala.

Also, Army Brig. Gen. Albert Bryant Jr., currently the deputy commanding general/assistant commandant of the Army Armor Center and Fort Knox, Ky., has been nominated chief of staff, KFOR (main), in Pristina, Film City, Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo.
