CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — Several Marine Corps Air Station Futenma units have scheduled a blood drive in which all donors will walk away with extra time off, and some will leave with prizes.

The commanding officers of Marine Aircraft Group 36, Marine Air Control Group 18, and Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron have authorized a 72-hour pass for those who give blood at the next blood drive on the air station. The drive takes place at the Futenma Chapel over two days, on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Food will be available at the drive and prizes will be handed out. Up for grabs are two $25 American Express gift checks and shirts from Navy Federal Credit Union, five $20 gift checks from Marine Corps Community Services, and 10 $10 gift certificates and 20 food and movie coupons from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.

While it is not necessary to sign up to give blood, appointments will be accepted, and those who reserve a time will have front-of-the-line privileges. To sign up, contact the Futenma chaplain’s office at DSN 636-3058 or via e-mail at
