Elvira Bell, who served as a police liaison with the U.S. military in Stuttgart, Germany, for more than 30 years, died Sunday after a brief illness, according to a Stuttgart garrison news release. She was 63.

Bell, whose service with the U.S. military began in 1966, is survived by two adult children, Stefan and Brian, both of whom reside in the U.S.

The Stuttgart military community will hold a memorial service at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Patch Chapel in Vaihingen. Bell’s family will hold a memorial at 11 a.m. Friday in Stuttgart.
