He’s that guy.

This is the guy who won’t leave your girlfriends alone at the club, who has likely consumed too much lager and whose body odor and breath leave something to be desired, to say the least.

He is, in British terms, a minger. She could be a minger, too.

A minger is a "physically undesirable, smelly or ugly person," according to www.peevish.co.uk, a repository of Brit slang.

The term can also be used as a verb, as in "ming," or to smell or look unpleasant. For example, "man, we went out hard in Newmarket Saturday night. John spilled chips and mayonnaise all over his coat on the way home, it really minged up the taxi!"

What’s more, "minging" can also mean to be good and drunk.

"Minger" has only been in the British vernacular since the 1990s, and is derived from the Scottish word "ming," which basically means excrement.
