Memorial service Thursday for airman found dead in Ramstein lodging

KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — A memorial service for Air Force Tech. Sgt. Thomas E. Clifford will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Southside Chapel at Ramstein Air Base, base officials said Tuesday. The service is open to the public.
Clifford, 41, was found dead Feb. 7 in his temporary lodging on base. The cause of death is still under investigation, the officials said Tuesday.
Clifford, from Montgomery, Ala., was assigned to the 86th Airlift Wing Command Post at Ramstein. He was preparing for a permanent-change-of-station move at the time of his death, according to base officials.
