CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — Registration still is open for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools in the Pacific Region.

“While many families registered their children before schools went on summer recess in June, those who recently arrived in their communities are urged to register their children immediately,” said Chip Steitz, spokesman for DODDS-Pacific and DDESS-Guam.

Steitz said it’s important to register students as soon as possible so schools are adequately funded and staffed.

Parents can call their local schools directly for instructions regarding what documentation is needed for enrollment, he said. They also can find the information at: Schools in Japan, South Korea and Guam start Aug. 30.
