BURY ST. EDMUNDS — A young man believed to be in his late teens was injured June 13 after falling from a moving vehicle at a parking ramp in Bury St. Edmunds.

The teen sustained serious head injuries from the incident and was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, according to a release issued last week by the Suffolk Constabulary.

Police arrived on the scene about 2 p.m., and early indications suggest the victim might have fallen from the hood of a black Ford Escort after attempting to surf on the car, the release stated. The 17-year-old driver of the car was arrested in connection with the incident.

Man facing attempted murder charges released on bailIPSWICH — A man arrested June 11 on charges of attempted murder was released on bail two days later.

The arrest was made in connection with a May 27 incident in an alley off Upper Brook Street in Ipswich. A 19-year-old male was stabbed in the neck following an altercation with two men, according to a Suffolk Constabulary release.

The victim remains in serious but stable condition at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, the release stated.

The June 11 arrest of the 25-year-old suspect comes on the heels of an arrest made on May 30. Damian Brauer, 20, was charged with attempted murder on June 1. The latest suspect is due to return to the Ipswich Police Station on July 11, according to the release.

Driver escapes injury when concrete slab hurled at carHAVERHILL — A concrete slab was thrown at a passing Vauxhall Astra car in Haverhill on the night of June 8.

The concrete was thrown by an unknown individual and damaged an alloy wheel on the vehicle, according to a release by the Suffolk Constabulary.

The driver was not injured in the incident, which took place on Burton End between Chivers Road and Cleves Road, the release stated.
