ST. NEOTS — Authorities are seeking information in a reported Jan. 26 sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl.

The girl was making her way from High Street to Sandfields Road at 8:30 p.m. when a man approached her on Church Street, according to a Cambridgeshire Constabulary news release.

The man grabbed her by her right wrist and pulled her into an alley leading to Browns Square, where he ripped open her top and assaulted her. The girl managed to escape, the news release said.

The attacker is described as 5 feet 8 inches with a medium build, dark hair and prominent lips. He was wearing a black, zipped jacket and black cotton gloves which were blotched with mud.

Witnesses needed on Huntingdon crash

HUNTINGDON — Police are seeking more information on a single-vehicle accident at Spittals roundabout last month.

According to a Cambridgeshire Constabulary news release, the incident occurred around 7 p.m. Jan. 21 when a black Honda Civic collided with the center roundabout barrier. The driver was not injured.

Police particularly want to speak with anyone who witnessed the accident or the driver of a blue Peugeot 206 that was behind the Honda.

Suspects sought in assault with stick on Ipswich man

IPSWICH — Detectives are investigating a serious assault on a 21-year-old Ipswich man during the early hours of Jan. 29.

The police received a call at approximately 2:20 a.m. stating a man had been assaulted and was lying in Grove Lane, according to a Suffolk Constabulary news release.

The man was transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital and treated for head injuries. His condition is described as stable.

Witnesses in the area stated they heard noises in the street between 2 and 2:20 a.m. Looking out into the street, witnesses saw four to six men with the victim and saw him assaulted with what they believed to be a stick, the news release said.

The first offender, seen carrying the weapon, is described as white, around 5 feet 8 inches, average build, in his late teens and early 20s. He wore a grey-hooded top, with the hood up, dark jeans and dark trainers. He also wore a denim jacket over the hooded top.

The other males in the group were of similar age, all wearing either hooded tops or baseball jerseys and dark clothing.
