HUNTINGDON — A 37-year-old man received stab wounds from an unidentified man on March 17, a Cambridgeshire Constabulary news release said.

The incident took place about 11:30 p.m. in Market Hill, close to Barclays Bank. The man was transported to Hinchingbrooke Hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition, the release said.

The attacker is described as white, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with long hair. He was walking a black dog.

Police seek information on Sudbury tractor theft

SUDBURY — Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the theft of a tractor unit, trailer and a container holding clothing from a lorry park on Waldingfield Road.

The blue DAF tractor unit was reportedly stolen between 5 p.m. March 19 and 3 a.m. March 20, a Suffolk Constabulary news release said.

The container had the words “Hanjin” on its side and had approximately 586 packages of clothing destined for British Home Stores.

Employee assaulted during store robbery

MARCH — Detectives are looking for information following a robbery at a shop in March.

According to the Cambridgeshire Constabulary, the incident happened at Sharma’s Store at the corner of County Road and Robingoodfellows Lane at about 4 p.m. on March 21.

An employee was in the store by himself when a man entered, approached him behind the counter and punched him in the head. He tried to fight back but two more men entered the shop and assaulted him before pushing him over the counter and onto the floor.

The attackers then opened the till and left with an unknown amount of cash.

They ran off along Robingoodfellows Lane in the direction of Norwood Road.

The employee suffered cuts and bruises to his head and face.

All three suspects were described as white, in their late teens to mid-20s, and were wearing dark navy tops and jeans.

The first offender was of medium build, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and had his face partially covered with a scarf. The second was 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and also had his face partially covered with a scarf.

The third was about 5 feet 6.
