¶ A June 11 story about Iraqi soldiers leaving their army misstated the name of an Iraqi army unit. It is the 3rd Brigade, 7th Iraqi Army Division, which is based in the Al Qaim region and working under the command of the 1st Marine Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment.

¶ In the Heroes special section (print edition), a soldier was misidentified in a photograph. The soldier shown on Page 10 under the headline “Something had to be done and we did it” is Staff Sgt. Matt Blaskowski.
