Cope North to take place at Andersen

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam — Cope North will kick off Monday at Andersen Air Force Base and run through June 27.

F-16 fighters from Expeditionary Fighter Squadron 522, based out of Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., and F-2 fighters from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force will be participating in the event.

According to a 36th Wing press release, this is the first time the JASDF F-2s have participated in an exercise outside Japan.
