RAF LAKENHEATH, England — The computer network was back online Monday when 48th Fighter Wing troops returned to work, a base spokesman said.

Work slowed to a crawl across the United Kingdom’s largest U.S. Air Force installation late last week after a computer snafu.

The 48th Communications Squadron had instructed troops across the base to physically unplug their computers from the outlets last week as the squadron worked to correct the problem. It was unclear when the computers were back online.

The 48th Fighter Wing spokeswoman Tech. Sgt. Renee Kirkland declined to release the cause or nature of the problem last week and did not return a Stars and Stripes call for additional information on Monday.
