No injuries were reported when a coalition helicopter went down in Khowst province, Afghanistan, while preparing to attack a Taliban position, officials said Monday.
In a short press release, the U.S.-led coalition said the "precautionary landing" came after a tail rotor blade struck the ground.
"The pilot successfully landed the aircraft with no injuries," a news release read. "The helicopter has minor damage and the site is currently secured by Afghan and ISAF (International Security and Assistance Force) forces."
An investigation is under way.
