A June 1 front-page headline about the cost-of-living allowance decreasing for troops in Europe should have stated that the allowance was declining up to 7 percent in Germany. Originally, military finance officials had planned to cut COLA by as much as 14 percent, but backed off that plan after the dollar-to-euro exchange rate fell in April.
