In an Aug. 10 story about the 2nd Brigade’s deployment ceremony in Schweinfurt, Germany, family readiness group leader Cathy Baka was not speaking directly about issues with Company C, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment when she said “The hardest part was that the soldiers were deployed to the field when the news [on deployment to Iraq] came down. Everything was packed (for deployment), and they had to unpack to go to the field.” Instead, her comments were meant to address deployment issues that she had heard mostly from other units within the brigade.
