A story in the March 31 edition about U.S. troops’ last border patrol in Kosovo called Kosovo’s neighbor the “former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.” The country uses the name the Republic of Macedonia, as was brought to our attention by some readers. The U.S. officially uses the name “Republic of Macedonia.” However, the European Union, the United Nations and NATO all still use “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” due to an unresolved dispute between Macedonia and Greece over the name.
