A U.S. civilian Army worker in Germany died Sunday after a brief illness, according to a news release.

Jennifer Knight, 39, was pronounced dead at St. Johannis hospital in Landstuhl, Germany. Knight served as director of the Landstuhl teen center.

The cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy will be performed, said Rebecca Sheldon, spokeswoman for U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern in Germany.

The Army did not release any details on the illness Knight had before her death.

The date and time of a memorial service will be announced later, a news release said.

Knight is survived by her husband, a sister and parents.
