A Houston church is looking for dependent spouses to help them distribute free coupons donated to them by its members and those from other area churches.

Last year, the Airline United Methodist Church began a project to send manufacturer’s coupons to overseas military bases. Expired coupons may be used up to 6 months after they expire here in the states.

The church has been sending monthly shipments of coupons to nine locations, including Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Bamberg, Hanau, and Landstuhl, according to Nancy Willis, who helps run the program.

The church is seeking military spouses who would be willing to receive packages of coupons for food, cleaning products, baby products and such, and distribute them either at coupons bins located in some commissaries or among friends, Willis said.

“This project is our way of saying thanks for the sacrifices our military and their families make to keep us all safe. All we need are some folks in need of coupons,” Willis said.
