Medical clinics in Freidberg, Butzbach and Büdingen, Germany, are scheduled to close this summer, after which patients will receive care in Hanau, according to an Army news release.

The Friedberg clinic will close on June 29, Butzbach on July 27 and Büdingen on Aug. 1, the release stated, after which patients can go to either Hanau or German facilities for care.

Patients are encouraged to enroll with the Hanau facility before their existing provider shuts down. That can be accomplished through TRICARE representatives, the release said. Families belonging to the Exceptional Family Member Program should schedule a screening before switching clinics.

For routine care at the Hanau clinic, call 06181-500-67301 or DSN 328-6730/6731. For referral care, Hanau TRICARE can be reached at 06181-500-6504 or DSN 328-6504.

Elderly American employee at Naples collapses and diesAn American employee who worked at U.S. Naval Support Activity in Naples, Italy, died Tuesday of what appear to be natural causes, possibly a heart attack, officials said.

The name of the employee, said to be an elderly man, is being withheld until next of kin in the United States can be notified, base officials said.

The man collapsed about 11:30 a.m. at the Fleet Mail Center at the Capodichino base. He was taken by a U.S. Navy ambulance crew to the San Giovanni Bosco hospital, a major Italian hospital near the naval base, where he was pronounced dead, Petty Officer 1st Class Steve Woolverton said in a statement.
