HEIDELBERG, Germany — Whether you call it a flea market, yard sale, garage sale or giant piles of junk, there’s a big one happening from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Patrick Henry Village.
The event takes place in the installation’s Pavilion tent as well as outside people’s housing. The rules are few: Only identification card holders may participate and what is a seller’s piece of unwanted junk — a lawn dwarf, for example — could be a buyer’s inexpensive treasure.
By Friday, 115 people had signed up and paid $10 to peddle their wares inside the tent, Morale, Welfare and Recreation officials said.
